Saint Fiacre, patron saint of gardeners, was an Irish monk who came to the region of Meaux to live as an ermit.
As his goodness was attracting a lot of poor people, Bishop Faron allowed him to keep the surface he would be able to surround with a ditch dug in one day with his spade.
The miracle happened and the spade, by itself, surrounded a large enclosure.
Saint Fiacre is represented with his monastic tonsure, with the opened gospel in his left hand and a spade in his right hand.
The village of Réveillon celebrates him every year on the last week-end of August.
